Moehau is a forested mountain at the far Northern end of the Coromandel peninsula in the North Island of New Zealand where I lived from 2005 to 2006.

I never climbed this mountain as it is ‘tapu’ and very sacred to the Māori. This is actually palpable to many people when in the vicinity of the mountain; it seems cloaked in power and dark mystery.

In August 2024 I had a strong dream of this mountain, the music is a sonic exploration of the sense of the place. If you ever get the chance to go there, you can see if you think it matches.
